Florida mother allegedly watched TikTok and porn while infant died after multiple falls

Police say Tatiana Norman repeatedly dropped her 6-month-old son before the child died, and she continued browsing TikTok and porn instead of seeking help.

Lakeland police disclosed that Tatiana Norman placed her six-month-old son, Jeremiah Peters, in a playpen after a series of falls, including one where she allegedly threw him from a standing height. The infant was found unresponsive late on June 29 and died shortly after being taken to a hospital. Autopsy findings contradicted Norman’s shifting stories, indicating a significant burn mark and severe head injuries beyond a simple fall.

Instead of calling for medical aid, Norman spent several hours researching symptoms online and watching TikTok videos and pornographic sites. She eventually called police, who arrested her on aggravated child-abuse charges that could carry a thirty-year sentence. The case highlights concerns about child neglect and the misuse of digital media during emergencies.
