Former catering staff allege thousands of pounds in unpaid wages
Several ex-employees of Berkshire-based catering firms claim they have not received wages they say are owed, and are pursuing legal routes to recover the sums.
Sonia Garcia Monuz, a former chef at Viking Catering Ltd, says the employer failed to pay her £2,300 after she quit in August 2025. Joan Fullbrook, who retired after working for another catering company owned by Martha Lindeque, secured a tribunal judgment for £1,498 against Chef2Table Ltd but alleges the firm has not honoured the award. George Weal, a 21-year-old former delivery driver for Chef2Table Ltd, was granted £1,052 for unpaid wages in January 2025 and likewise reports that the money remains unpaid.
The three claimants have each turned to Acas for conciliation and, where necessary, to the county courts to enforce tribunal decisions. Acas officials note a rise in early-conciliation cases for unpaid wages and advise workers to document pay details and raise formal grievances before seeking tribunal relief. Martha Lindeque declined comment, but one outlet's reports she denies the allegations.
