Fidji Simo, a French-born business leader who previously headed Instacart and served as a top executive at OpenAI until early July, announced a new venture called ChronicleBio. The startup aims to harness artificial-intelligence techniques to scrutinize blood biomarkers, allowing researchers to break down Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome patients into finer cohorts based on symptom origins. Simo, who lives with POTS herself, says this granularity could make clinical trials more focused and less likely to produce inconclusive results.
