From Homeless Teen to Billion-Dollar Loungewear Founder Hudson Leogrande
Hudson Leogrande, who was homeless at 16, now leads the loungewear brand Comfrt, which is projected to generate $1 billion in revenue this year.
At 16, Hudson Leogrande was living on a friend’s couch after dropping out of school, but he was determined to become his own boss. He tried telemarketing, car sales and an early teeth-whitening startup before moving to California to run an Airbnb arbitrage operation that earned up to $60,000 a month. A viral Snapchat promotion briefly revived his whitening brand, but algorithm changes caused it to falter.
In 2022 he created Comfrt, a loungewear line built around weighted hoodies and sweatpants meant to promote comfort. Despite multiple cash crunches and a lack of early corporate structure, he eventually hired a COO and CFO, expanded the product line, and built a network of 500 content creators. Today Comfrt employs about 140 full-time staff and expects to close the year with $1 billion in revenue, while Leogrande also serves on the board of David Beckham’s wellness firm IM8.
