Frosinone turns down Rangers' £8.6m offer for winger Fares Ghedjemis
Rangers' bid of roughly €10 million for Algerian winger Fares Ghedjemis was rejected by Serie A club Frosinone.
Rangers have pursued Algerian international Fares Ghedjemis, offering an estimated €10 million for the winger who netted 15 times in Serie B and aided Frosinone's return to Serie A. According to transfer analyst Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian club rejected the bid, signalling that a substantially higher fee would be needed. Celtic entered the race with a £6 million proposal, which was also dismissed. The Ibrox side, having already signed several players including Dan Neil and Lawrence Shankland, still lacks a specialist wide forward and views Ghedjemis as a prime target.
They are also monitoring other options such as Daisuke Yokota. Frosinone's firm stance suggests the negotiation may continue if Rangers raise their offer.
