George Conway ridicules Trump’s ‘deep state’ claim over Reflecting Pool damage

Attorney George Conway mocked Donald Trump on Tuesday, highlighting that a National Park Service engineer, not a hostile ‘deep state,’ caused recent damage to the Reflecting Pool.

On Tuesday, George Conway used social media to lampoon Donald Trump’s allegation that a “deep state” sabotage ruined the Reflecting Pool renovations, pointing out that a National Park Service engineer had deliberately trimmed the peeling sections. The comment was shared alongside a post by a reporter at one outlet J. Reilly, who cited the engineer’s own assessment. Conway, who is married to former Trump aide Kellyanne Conway, has long been an outspoken opponent of the president, even while his wife worked in the White House.

He previously dismissed one outlet's report on Trump’s reaction to Senator Lindsey Graham’s death as factually inaccurate and labeled the president a sociopath. Earlier this year, Conway also criticized Trump’s plan to let Truth Social users bet on prediction markets and warned against a costly military push in the Hormuz Strait against Iran.
