Georgia Man Charged After Multiple Attempts to Run Over Jogger Who Said Good Morning
Police say 21-year-old Jesse Allen Davis tried three times to hit a female jogger with his car after she greeted him, then fled the scene in Marietta.
On July 19 in Marietta, Georgia, a 21-year-old man identified as Jesse Allen Davis allegedly drove his car toward a woman who had said "good morning" while jogging near an apartment complex. According to Cobb County Police, Davis attempted to run her down three separate times, first grazing her before pursuing her through the parking lot, striking a parked vehicle and finally colliding with a pole, which left his face badly bloodied.
The victim took cover behind a dumpster and dialed 911 for help. Another driver, Lloydethan White, testified that he too was nearly hit by Davis's vehicle. Davis was taken into custody, booked into Cobb County Jail, and posted a $5,720 bond on charges of aggravated assault and hit-and-run. No information was immediately available about legal representation.
