Gold and silver poised to climb next week amid inflation data and Middle East tensions
Analysts expect Indian gold and silver prices to rise next week, driven by upcoming US inflation figures and developments in West Asia.
Precious-metal analysts forecast a positive bias for gold and silver in India, projecting short-term levels of roughly Rs 1.57 lakh per 10 grams for gold and Rs 2.80 lakh per kilogram for silver. The commodities posted strong weekly advances, with gold futures up about 6 percent and silver futures up about 7 percent, helped by weaker US labour data and a declining dollar. Internationally, gold futures jumped 7 percent to $4,399.7 an ounce and silver rose nearly 10 percent to $63.50 an ounce.
Upcoming inflation data from the United States, Germany, Japan and India, plus Chinese economic releases, will shape market direction, while any unexpected diplomatic or military announcement involving the US and Iran could trigger sharp moves. Analysts warn that volatility is likely to stay elevated as monetary-policy expectations and geopolitical uncertainty persist.
