Gov. Brian Kemp Announces Siemens' $185 Million Plant Adding 1,400 Georgia Jobs

Governor Brian Kemp announced that Siemens will invest $185 million to build a 550,000-square-foot manufacturing complex near Pendergrass, Georgia, which is expected to generate 1,400 jobs over three years. Construction of the facility is set to start in November, with hiring projected for 2027. Kemp referenced a 2025 "international mission" to Germany and Poland that sought to deepen economic collaboration, during which officials met Siemens leadership in Munich.

Siemens already maintains two manufacturing sites and six offices in the state, employing over 1,700 workers. Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson emphasized the long-standing relationship forged through regular engagement with Siemens. Barry Powell, Siemens' North America president for Electrical Products, called Georgia a natural choice due to its business climate and skilled workforce. The project involves collaboration with the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson County Industrial Development Authority, Georgia Power and Georgia Quick Start.
