Government names 30 new judges for four Indian high courts
The law ministry announced the appointment of 30 judges across the Madras, Calcutta, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh high courts.
In a recent notification, the law ministry confirmed that 30 individuals will join the benches of four high courts. Fifteen appointees are slated for the Madras high court, eight for Calcutta, six for Karnataka and one for Madhya Pradesh. Among the new judges, seven are current judicial officers promoted to the high courts, while the remaining 23 are practicing advocates.
