Grass blaze dubbed Woodside Fire burns 143 acres in Sonoma wine region, sparks evacuations

A grass fire named the Woodside Fire is raging through Sonoma County’s wine country, having consumed approximately 143 acres by Thursday. Cal Fire’s Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit says firefighters achieved notable progress overnight, bringing containment to roughly 30 percent. Evacuation orders have been issued for zones designated SON-1D1, Salt Point State Park, Steelwater Cove Regional Park, Ocean Cove Private Camp and the Timber Cove Subdivision, with a warning issued for zone SON-1D2.
