Haitian parolee arrested in Utah on multiple rape charges
A Haitian migrant who entered the U.S. through a Biden-admin parole program has been charged with two rapes and related offenses in Salt Lake City.
Authorities in Salt Lake City have arrested Moise Sainteran, a Haitian national who entered the country through a parole program overseen by the Biden administration. Police allege that Sainteran raped one woman after a night of bar-hopping on July 18 and assaulted another woman who woke up to an attack on August 1, both incidents taking place in his apartment. He now faces two counts of rape, forcible sexual abuse, object rape, aggravated sexual assault, and forcible sodomy.
ICE disclosed that Sainteran was admitted in September 2023 and was supposed to remain until June 2025, receiving a work permit in December 2023. The program that allowed his entry was terminated by the Trump administration in April of the previous year, rendering him an illegal alien. A DHS spokesperson emphasized the seriousness of the charges and requested that local officials keep him in jail and transfer him to ICE custody for deportation.
