Harvey Elliott says Liverpool offers a fresh start after Villa loan

After a brief and under-used spell at Aston Villa, where a clause to make his transfer permanent was not activated, 23-year-old Harvey Elliott returned to Liverpool ahead of schedule. He participated in the Reds’ pre-season matches, notably the 1-0 victory against Wrexham in New York, and described the loan as a “tough” learning curve. Elliott said the experience pushed him out of his comfort zone but ultimately did not work out, and he holds no hard feelings toward Villa.

With new manager Andoni Iraola and a refreshed coaching team, he views his homecoming as a second chance to prove his worth. He aims to be fully fit mentally and physically, hoping to secure a place in the squad and enjoy playing for Liverpool again.
