HBO Max offers student discount, bundle deals and fresh original titles this August
HBO Max is promoting a 50% student discount, a three-service bundle with Disney+ and Hulu, and a slate of new series and movies for August.
HBO Max is rolling out a student discount that halves the price of its Basic with Ads tier to $5 per month. For viewers seeking broader content, the platform bundles with Disney+ and Hulu, delivering all three services with ads for $17 a month or an ad-free version for $30, representing a significant savings. New programming highlighted for the month includes the series Task, a crime-focused drama set in Philadelphia, the horror universe extension IT: Welcome to Derry, and the Steve Carell-led comedy Rooster.
The service continues to provide live sports events such as NHL, NCAA March Madness, MLB, and others. Free preview episodes of popular shows like Euphoria and Industry are available without a subscription. HBO Max’s subscription tiers range from a $10 basic ad-supported plan to a $21 premium plan offering 4K video, Dolby Atmos, and multiple device streams.
