Houston Texans lock up former Alabama linebacker Henry To'oTo'o on two-year deal

Houston has reportedly reached a two-year, $16 million extension with former Alabama inside linebacker Henry To'oTo'o, keeping him through the 2028 season.

Houston Texans officials have reportedly secured a two-year, $16 million extension with inside linebacker Henry To'oTo'o, extending his stay through the 2028 season. To'oTo'o, selected by the Texans in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft after playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide, has emerged as a defensive staple, logging 261 career tackles, 18 tackles for loss, four sacks and an interception in 46 games. In the most recent season he started 14 of 17 contests, recording 95 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Prior to his time at Alabama, he transferred from Tennessee in 2021 and started both seasons in Tuscaloosa, compiling 206 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks at the collegiate level. The reported deal was disclosed by NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The extension reflects the Texans' confidence in To'oTo'o’s continued impact on their linebacker corps.
