HYBE posts record quarterly profit fueled by BTS tour and album sales
HYBE announced its strongest quarter ever, with revenue near $1 billion and profit surging after BTS’s ARIRANG tour and album boosted sales.
In its July 28 release, HYBE disclosed a historic second-quarter performance, posting 1.45 trillion won in revenue—about $995 million—and a record operating profit of 170.9 billion won, roughly $117 million. Net profit leapt 610% to 109.8 billion won after a loss in the prior quarter caused by a one-time stock-compensation charge. The surge was driven by BTS’s ARIRANG World Tour, which lifted concert earnings 243% year-over-year, and by a 43% rise in recorded-music revenue anchored by the ARIRANG album’s strong CD and vinyl sales.
HYBE’s Weverse platform logged a record 14.43 million monthly active users, and HYBE artists claimed four of the ten best-selling CD titles in the U.S. for the first half of 2026. The report arrived amid a volatile day for the Korea Composite Stock Price Index, which fell sharply due to semiconductor losses. HYBE also outlined an aggressive 2026 touring schedule and a slate of upcoming releases from its roster.
Why it matters
The earnings highlight HYBE’s dominant role in global K-pop and its impact on music-industry revenues.
