ICE removes nearly 260 criminal undocumented immigrants from Houston in first half of July

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations branch announced that its Houston officers arrested 259 undocumented immigrants with criminal convictions from July 1 through July 15. The individuals faced charges that included sex offenses, child sexual abuse, aggravated assault, burglary, robbery, drug trafficking, kidnapping and sex trafficking, among others, totaling 642 convictions. Gang affiliations cited included MS-13, Surenos-13, Tango Blast, Paisas, Southwest Cholos, Brown Pride Locos, Mara-18 and Tiny Boys.

Collectively, the suspects had crossed the border 535 times and were linked to over 400 offenses deemed dangerous to the community. Specific cases highlighted a Mexican fugitive wanted for kidnapping, several Honduran repeat offenders convicted of sexual crimes, and a Vietnamese man with multiple burglary and theft convictions. ICE officials framed the operation as part of their mandate to remove high-risk, repeat offenders from local neighborhoods.
