India denounces Pakistan's Youm-e-Istehsal as misleading propaganda
India’s foreign ministry condemned Pakistan’s observance of “Youm-e-Istehsal,” calling it false propaganda meant to distract from Pakistan’s human-rights abuses and terrorism links.
The Ministry of External Affairs rebuked Pakistan for marking August 5 as “Youm-e-Istehsal,” saying the celebration spreads misinformation. New Delhi argued the move seeks to shift global focus from Pakistan’s poor human-rights record and its reputation as a terrorism hub. The ministry also reiterated that the 2019 constitutional amendment that revoked Article 370 and split Jammu & Kashmir into the union territories of J&K and Ladakh is an internal Indian matter.
