In less than a year, influencer Jennopalis built a following of almost 10 million views by focusing on the unaffordability of everyday life. Starting in July, she began posting a series of videos that detailed Rep. Haley Stevens' legislative record and urged viewers to consider her work, though she stopped short of a direct endorsement. Social-media users accused Jennopalis and several other accounts of posting undisclosed paid content, prompting MS Now to contact 13 such accounts.

The Stevens campaign has publicly denied any paid influencer arrangement. The controversy mirrors a parallel probe in California, where officials are examining whether accounts promoting billionaire Democrat Tom Steyer failed to disclose compensation. Jennopalis maintains she receives no payment for her pro-Stevens posts.
