Iran Says It Has Bolstered Forces During US-Iran Ceasefire

During the temporary halt in US-Iran hostilities, Iran’s military leadership announced that it has maximized the cease-fire to strengthen its capabilities, incorporating older gear, acquiring fresh equipment and refurbishing damaged assets. Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia highlighted the induction of new-generation drones, with specifications to be released later, and a surge in drone output to triple pre-conflict levels, according to acting defence minister Majid Ebn-e Reza.

Both the regular army and the IRGC said missile production continued unabated, with improved accuracy derived from battlefield experience. Iran claims to retain roughly 70% of its missile stock and 40% of its drone fleet, enabling sustained asymmetric operations in the Strait of Hormuz. While US and allied aircraft have conducted thousands of sorties over Iranian airspace, Iran reports shooting down several cruise missiles and various US drones. Regional tensions persist, with attacks reported in Saudi Arabia, the Red Sea and near Kuwait, and Iran continues to warn that the Strait will not be reopened through force.
