Israeli settlers and troops injure at least 11 Palestinians, including children, near Nablus

On Friday, Israeli settlers, accompanied by soldiers, stormed the town of Tal and surrounding areas southwest of Nablus, marking a new surge in West Bank tensions. Medical sources reported that 11 Palestinians, among them four children, suffered injuries during the raid on the Junaid neighbourhood, with one person shot in the stomach, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. Israeli troops employed bullets, stun grenades and tear-gas canisters, while also arresting at least ten individuals in locations including Tal, Salem and Bethlehem.

Video evidence showed large numbers of soldiers moving through Tal, entering the Ain al-Mazrab and al-Ameriya sectors before withdrawing. The Israeli military later acknowledged that “Israeli civilians” had entered Area A, a zone prohibited under Israeli law, and noted reports of a vandalised Palestinian cemetery. Additional operations that day targeted Ramallah’s Qaddura refugee camp, Bethlehem’s Wadi Shahin, Anabta near Tulkarem, and Salfit, with several arrests and brief detentions reported.
