Jake's Fireworks pulls over 132,000 'Skull Strobe' rockets over premature explosion risk

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 132,440 World Class Fireworks "Skull Strobe" rockets after tests showed they can burst prematurely, posing explosion and burn hazards. The rockets, packaged in black boxes with a skull graphic, were sold across the United States from March 2025 through June 2026 at prices ranging from $12 to $25. Jake's Fireworks Inc., headquartered in Pittsburg, Kansas, imported the fireworks from manufacturers in China.

While no accidents have been reported, the agency urges owners to cease use immediately and seek a full refund by returning the items to the original retailer or a nearby Jake's location.
