Jammu & Kashmir police seize lands of five Pakistan-based terror facilitators in Reasi

In Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir police seized multiple parcels of land owned by five men identified as handlers for Pakistan-based terrorist groups. The operation, overseen by Mahore SDPO Parul Bhardwaj and witnessed by an executive magistrate and locals, targeted holdings ranging from several kanals to marlas. Legal provisions invoked included the BNS, the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and the Egress and Internal Movement Control Ordinance.

Investigators claim the accused fled to Pakistan for training and now facilitate, promote and coordinate extremist actions, intending to use the seized assets for financing terror. The move is part of a broader effort by J&K police, which recently immobilized properties worth roughly Rs 90.7 lakh in Ramban district belonging to similar handlers. Officials emphasized that disrupting financial and logistical networks is crucial to curbing cross-border terrorism.
