Jemimah Rodrigues sidelined by hamstring injury, Asia Cup future uncertain

Southern Brave confirmed that Jemimah Rodrigues will miss the remainder of The Hundred after sustaining a hamstring injury while playing for the franchise. The Indian batter, 25, had scored 143 runs across six innings, averaging 35.75 with a top score of 42 not out. To fill the vacancy, the club brought in Australian all-rounder Charlie Knott.

Rodrigues' absence comes as Southern Brave chase a top-of-the-table finish with two games remaining against Manchester Super Giants and Trent Rockets. The injury also raises concerns for India's lineup ahead of the Women's T20 Asia Cup, which starts on August 28, with the team’s first match against Thailand scheduled for August 30 in Dubai. Rodrigues has less than three weeks to recover, and the severity of the hamstring strain has not been disclosed.
