Jharkhand government drops three JPSC exams but keeps CGL test amid student protests

The administration declined the protesters' demand to eliminate the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination, explaining that the test proceeds under judicial directives and that its successful candidates have already been placed in jobs.

The decision reflects the government's effort to address student unrest while adhering to legal obligations. Additionally, officials indicated that the Enforcement Directorate would be asked to probe any suspected illicit financial dealings related to the exams. Student leaders have vowed to intensify their agitation despite the partial concession.
