Judy Sheindlin's son Adam Levy to helm new daytime courtroom series

Judy Sheindlin, the 83-year-old star of the long-running Judge Judy franchise, confirmed that her son Adam Levy, 58, will take on the role of judge in a brand-new daytime court series called Adam’s Law, slated for a mid-September premiere. Levy, a Hofstra University law graduate, served two terms as Putnam County District Attorney from 2008 to 2015 before moving into television, where he acted as a presiding judge on Prime Video’s Tribunal Justice and Justice on Trial—both projects produced by Sheindlin.

In the show’s trailer, Levy adopts a stern courtroom demeanor and urges participants to be truthful. Sheindlin, who amassed a fortune exceeding half a billion dollars from her TV ventures, believes the program will quickly become a top daytime rating performer. She praised her son’s legal recall, academic background, and television instincts, saying she is passing the baton to a capable successor.
