Justin Bieber's World Cup Sneakers Raise $26,400 for FIFA Education Fund
Justin Bieber's custom SKYLRK shoes, worn during the World Cup final halftime, were sold at Christie’s for about $26,400 to benefit a FIFA education charity.
During the inaugural FIFA World Cup final halftime show, Justin Bieber sang “Everything Hallelujah” while dressed in a custom SKYLRK ensemble, featuring a pair of unreleased latte-colored Matter Daddy sneakers. After the performance, he gave the shoes to Christie’s for the One Goal auction, a fundraiser for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund that seeks to broaden access to quality education and football for children globally.
Initial bids ranged from $2,000 to $4,000, but the final sale price reached $26,400. The auction, open from July 22 to late July, also included donations from fellow performers Shakira and BTS. Produced by Global Citizen and partially curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, the halftime spectacle blended music, dance, and orchestral elements. All proceeds will support grassroots organizations and inclusive learning initiatives worldwide.
