Katie Boulter added to Great Britain lineup for Billie Jean King Cup finals

Great Britain has selected Katie Boulter to join its unchanged Billie Jean King Cup squad for the finals in Shenzhen, while Emma Raducanu is omitted.

Anne Keothavong announced that Katie Boulter will replace Katie Swan in Great Britain’s Billie Jean King Cup squad for the finals in Shenzhen, China. The rest of the team—Harriet Dart, Mika Stojsavljevic and Jodie Burrage—remains the same as the side that defeated Australia in the qualifiers. Keothavong highlighted the courage shown by the players in that earlier victory.

Emma Raducanu, who has struggled with injury and illness throughout the year, was not named in the final lineup. Britain’s campaign begins on Tuesday, 22 September, against a strong Czech Republic side featuring Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova and runner-up Karolina Muchova. All quarter-final matches will be decided by two singles and one doubles match.
