Katseye member Sophia Laforteza pauses group activities for mental health
Sophia Laforteza of Katseye announced a temporary break from upcoming promotions to focus on her mental health and wellness.
Katseye’s Sophia Laforteza disclosed on the fan platform that she will step back from the group’s forthcoming promotional schedule to address mental-health concerns, following medical advice for prolonged rest. The band’s statement highlighted that the artists’ long-term health remains paramount, and Laforteza posted a personal note expressing heartbreak over missing stage time while reaffirming the importance of self-care.
She was not present at the Los Angeles debut of the “Katseye: Wild Hearts” documentary, and Lara Raj relayed her well-wishes on the red carpet. This temporary leave mirrors a February hiatus taken by fellow member Manon Bannerman. Katseye, which also includes Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung, is set to launch the “Wild” EP on August 13 ahead of a scheduled fall tour.
