KKR allocates part of its $19.2 billion fund to Gulf energy and digital projects

KKR has closed a $19.2 billion global infrastructure fund, designating a portion for resilient energy and digital infrastructure in the Gulf region.

The private-equity firm completed a massive infrastructure fund and will direct some capital toward strengthening the Gulf’s power and data networks. Over the past 18 months, KKR has already invested $5 billion in Middle-East data centres. Its Middle-East investing head said the new vehicle will back the region’s next growth phase. Recent moves include a $16 billion lease with Blackstone for Kuwait’s national pipeline, underscoring confidence despite recent drone attacks on regional data hubs.
