Labor MP Ed Husic hospitalized after collision on Sydney's M7 motorway
Labor representative Ed Husic was taken to Westmead Hospital with fractures and a concussion after his car struck a truck on the M7.
Ed Husic, a Labor MP and former industry minister, was involved in a crash with a truck on Sydney’s M7 motorway while returning from his electorate office at about 6.20 pm on Tuesday. Emergency responders attended the scene, providing initial care before transporting him to Westmead Hospital for further evaluation. Hospital officials diagnosed him with minor abrasions, fractures and a concussion, and he was discharged the next day.
Husic expressed gratitude to the doctors, nurses and paramedics for their care and to his friends and family for support during his stay. On medical advice, he will take a short leave from parliamentary duties, though he is expected to resume work soon. NSW police have been contacted regarding the accident.
