Liverpool eye 18-year-old Ibrahim Mbaye as potential successor to Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah left Liverpool this summer, and the club entered the new season without a signed right-winger, relying on Jeremie Frimpong, who is not a natural winger, and an injured Conor Bradley. Interest has also been shown in Bradley Barcola, who plays on the opposite flank. New reports indicate Liverpool are preparing to negotiate with 18-year-old Senegalese forward Ibrahim Mbaye, a player long-favoured by some analysts.

Fabrice Hawkins claims genuine interest from the club, while Fabrizio Romano reports Mbaye himself wants the move. Though Mbaye is still very young and unlikely to start immediately, Liverpool view him as a potential long-term answer to the void left by Salah.
