Lululemon’s oversized 80-liter tote sparks viral buzz online
Lululemon introduced an 80-liter tote called the Big-Ass Bag, which quickly became a meme-fuelled sensation on social media.
Lululemon rolled out a massive three-foot-wide tote dubbed the Big-Ass Bag 80L, available in two colour options and accompanied by a mini tote for additional storage. Constructed from recycled, water-repellent polyester, the bag features multiple zip compartments and free shipping. Customer feedback online ranges from praise—one reviewer said it could "fit my whole house"—to sarcasm, with jokes about the bag being too small or only fitting two of five kids.
The product gained extra traction after TikTok creator Ashley Marie Frye posted a video that earned more than 30,000 likes, prompting comments likening the bag to a personal “kidnapper.” Celebrities such as Camila Cabello, Kate Middleton, Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman are noted as fans of the brand, though it remains unclear if they will adopt this particular item.
