Luxury East Hampton Estate to Rise as $162 Million Record-Breaking Mansion

A new 17,500-sq-ft mansion is slated for 43 East Dune Lane in East Hampton, with a listed price of $162 million, replacing the former Lee Radziwill property.

A former Lee Radziwill estate at 43 East Dune Lane is being demolished to make way for a $162 million, 17,500-square-foot residence that will sit on 3.6 acres with 225 feet of ocean frontage. The property, purchased for $72 million via an anonymous shell entity linked to a Manhattan co-op, is being overseen by listing agent Terry Cohen of Compass. Renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern, master builder Ed Bulgin and landscape architect Ed Hollander are designing a main house, a 3,500-square-foot guest house, a pool, tennis court, gym, wine cellar and other luxury features. The project will file permits within weeks and aims to compete with nearby listings such as Calvin Klein’s $165 million compound and Zach Schreiber’s $152.5 million Sagaponack home, while the current Hamptons record remains the $147 million Further Lane sale from 2014.

Why it matters
