Maine lobster fisher claims two smiling men stole 30 lobsters from her dock

Lobsterman Lindsay McDaniels, who works with her teenage daughter on Mount Desert Island, discovered that 30 lobsters vanished from her stash in Northeast Harbor on July 24. Marina cameras recorded two men in baseball caps smirking while moving her crates across two docks, later loading the catch into large laundry baskets. The loss, valued at up to $500, prompted McDaniels to file a report with Mount Desert police, who first suggested the men might have confused her lobsters with another fisherman's. She disputed that theory, saying she had checked with other fishermen and none had misplaced lobsters.
