Man shot twice inside Manhattan after-hours venue, police investigate
A man in his 30s was wounded in the abdomen and arm during a shooting at a suspected after-hours club in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday morning.
Police say a man in his 30s sustained gunshot wounds to his stomach and arm when shots rang out inside a possible after-hours club located at 247 West 30th Street in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday morning. The shooting was reported at about 7:30 a.m., and the victim managed to leave the premises, signal police on the street, and receive emergency transport to Bellevue Hospital, where surgeons were operating on him. Investigators found one shell casing on the second floor of the venue, which appears to be an event space, and noted a smear of blood on the sidewalk between Seventh and Eighth Avenue, a short distance from the Empire State Building.
The NYPD has not made any arrests and the case remains under active investigation. The victim’s identity has not been released.
