Manhattan deli employee grazed by bullet during early-morning robbery attempt

At approximately 1:22 a.m. on Thursday, a gun-wielding individual entered Wholesome Organic Convenience on Rivington Street in Manhattan, claiming he wanted to purchase chips and candy but lacking cash. The 25-year-old employee, known as Ace, confronted the robber, leading to a brief scuffle over the weapon. During the altercation the gun fired, striking Ace in the buttocks.

The perpetrator escaped with an undetermined quantity of stolen items. Emergency responders arrived, and Ace was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition. Police continue to search for the suspect, who remained at large later that evening.
