Marcus Lemonis Rebrands Bed Bath & Beyond as Neighborhood Intelligence, Shifts HQ to Nashville
Marcus Lemonis disclosed that Bed Bath & Beyond will be renamed Neighborhood Intelligence, relocate its corporate base to Nashville and move its listing from NYSE to Nasdaq as it pursues an all-encompassing home-services ecosystem.
Facing a stagnant home-furnishings market, Bed Bath & Beyond announced a sweeping transformation under CEO Marcus Lemonis. The firm will adopt the name Neighborhood Intelligence, shift its stock ticker to Nasdaq and move its headquarters from Utah to Nashville, citing the city’s entrepreneurial climate. In Q2, revenue climbed 28% to $361.2 million, aided by the addition of 6.4 million active customers, yet net losses widened to $39.5 million.
Lemonis described a unified “operating system” that links three pillars—omnichannel retail, home services and home ownership—through a shared data platform. Recent acquisitions, including Fathom Holdings, F9 Brands (Cabinets To Go, Lumber Liquidators) and renovation firm SFV, are meant to expand the ecosystem, though analysts warn that integration risk remains. GlobalData’s Neil Saunders noted that the ultimate test will be sustained top-line growth and profitable synergy, especially as the housing market is expected to rebound later this year.
