Marlen Reusser claims first yellow jersey after winning Tour de France Femmes time trial

Switzerland's Marlen Reusser, the reigning world time-trial champion, won the 21-kilometre individual effort from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon in 27 minutes and 30 seconds, earning her first yellow jersey in the Tour de France Femmes. Her performance gave her a 14-second advantage over Dutch rider Demi Vollering, who finished third, while Lieke Nooijen was four seconds slower. Young British rider Zoe Backstedt placed fourth, 20 seconds behind Reusser.

The stage unfolded under scorching heat exceeding 30 °C, causing defending champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot to lose two minutes and 14 seconds. Norway's Sigrid Haugset, after a dramatic solo attack earlier in the race, slipped to fourth overall, trailing Reusser by three minutes. Reusser expressed delight, noting the stage had been a target for her team since the season's start.
