Masked individual wanders Weston mansion at night, police seek public help
Surveillance video captured a fully masked person wearing a bike helmet walking around a luxury home in Weston, Massachusetts early Sunday, and police are asking residents for any additional footage.
Weston Police released footage showing an unidentified individual, fully masked and wearing a bicycle helmet, roaming the perimeter of a three-car-garage home on Highland Street between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. The person used a flashlight, approached the garage, and at one point lifted a hunting chair before heading back toward a trail. Police indicated there is no sign the suspect entered the residence, but the prolonged, concealed presence at that hour raised serious concerns.
Chief Denis Linehan called the scene “creepy” and emphasized the illegality of being on private property while masked, especially at that time. Authorities are requesting that nearby homeowners check any security or doorbell camera recordings for additional clues, including images of a bicycle or the suspect leaving the area.
