Mavericks secure wing Naji Marshall with three-year, $52.2 million deal

Dallas Mavericks front office confirmed a three-year, $52.2 million extension for wing Naji Marshall, with the first year at $18.2 million and subsequent years at $17.3 million and $16.7 million. The agreement builds on a three-year, $27 million contract the club gave him in 2024. At 6-foot-6, Marshall has earned the nickname "The Knife" for his ability to score in the lane, posting a 55.9% effective field-goal rate on floaters and averaging more than 14 points on 51% shooting over two seasons.

His new deal, structured to decline each year, maintains his trade eligibility, according to Third Apron founder Yossi Gozlan. The extension aligns his salary with players such as Klay Thompson and Keldon Johnson, and comes as the Mavericks anticipate contributions from rising rookie Cooper Flagg and All-Star guard Kyrie Irving.
