Meghan Markle dons Princess Diana earrings at Canadian charity gala with Harry

Meghan Markle wore Princess Diana’s diamond-and-sapphire earrings while attending a David Foster Foundation gala in Canada with Prince Harry.

At a gala celebrating the David Foster Foundation’s 40th year, Meghan Markle honored her late mother-in-law by wearing Princess Diana’s diamond and sapphire earrings. She complemented the heirloom with a black dress designed by Canadian label Greta Constantine, and Prince Harry complemented her in a traditional black tuxedo with a bow tie. The couple joined David Foster’s wife, singer Katharine McPhee, along with Adam Levine, Josh Groban and other guests.

After the dinner, a complimentary concert took place at Victoria Inner Harbour. Their presence reflects a close bond with the Foster family, dating back to a private Vancouver Island trip in 2019 and a shared middle-school connection between Markle and McPhee. Markle has previously paid tribute to Diana through other pieces of the late princess’s jewelry.

Why it matters

The appearance underscores the Sussexes’ continued public support for charitable causes and keeps Diana’s legacy in the spotlight.
