Miami Gardens delivery driver kills alleged robber during self-defense shooting
A food delivery driver in Miami Gardens shot and killed a suspected armed robber after being targeted while making a delivery.
At approximately 1:40 p.m. Thursday in Miami Gardens, a food delivery driver was confronted by an alleged armed robber while on a delivery route. The driver retrieved his gun and fired, striking one of the assailants. Paramedics and police arrived on scene and transported the injured suspect to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not disclosed the deceased’s identity. A second individual linked to the robbery, identified as 28-year-old Jabari Thomas, was arrested and is being detained without bond at the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Jail. The incident occurred in the 20300 block of Northwest 34th Court.
