Christian Norgaard confirmed his switch from Arsenal to Everton, citing a desire for more consistent playing time and a more prominent role. Although he contributed to Arsenal's league triumph and their Champions League final run, he was largely used as a backup and sometimes deployed in defense rather than his preferred midfield spot. The lack of regular minutes prompted him to seek a new challenge where he could have greater influence.

Speaking to one outlet, Norgaard said discussions with manager David Moyes and the club's project convinced him to join. Everton view his top-level experience as valuable for their progress, while Arsenal move forward with squad adjustments ahead of the new season.
