Milan's Leao unlikely to join Fenerbahce as Turkish side's offer stalls
AC Milan says Portuguese forward Rafael Leão will probably stay, as Fenerbahçe’s bid fails to meet the club’s price.
Rafael Leão’s potential move to Fenerbahçe appears increasingly doubtful after Milan reiterated that only a full transfer would be acceptable. Fenerbahçe initially offered a loan deal and later a package worth €50 million plus bonuses, which Milan deemed insufficient. Agent Jorge Mendes and reporter Daniele Longo indicated the Turkish side has been unable to present a financially viable offer. Coach Ruben Amorim’s club also struggled to reach an agreement with Milan. With the deal stalled, AC Milan’s options to bring in new players this window are constrained, leaving the squad largely unchanged.
Why it matters
Milan’s inability to sell Leão limits its transfer budget and affects squad planning for the season.
