Miniso Tops NRF Fast-Growth List, Outpacing Dick’s and Costco in U.S. Sales

Miniso was named the NRF’s fastest-growing U.S. retailer, achieving roughly 53% sales growth and $466 million in domestic revenue, beating Dick’s Sporting Goods and Costco.

In the latest NRF ranking, Miniso claimed the top spot as the fastest-growing retailer in the United States, reporting roughly 53% sales growth and $466 million in domestic revenue. Dick’s Sporting Goods followed with 49% growth, and Costco, despite its massive scale, fell to 18th place after posting an 8% increase. Miniso appeared on the list for the first time, alongside newcomers AT&T, Verizon, Casey’s General Store, Ulta Beauty, RH and J.Crew, as well as established players.

The company attributes its rapid expansion to low-priced lifestyle items, a focus on discovery-driven shopping, and popular collaborations such as viral blind boxes and partnerships with Minecraft and My Little Pony. NRF rankings, compiled by Kantar, measure annual domestic sales growth rather than total revenue, highlighting momentum over market dominance. Costco’s fiscal-year 2025 revenue reached $275.2 billion, with $198.7 billion from U.S. sales, still far behind Walmart and Amazon. Miniso’s founder and CEO Ye Guofu, who took the firm public in 2020, now has an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion after the brand shifted away from its earlier Japan-inspired marketing.

Why it matters

The ranking shows a Chinese value-brand rapidly gaining market share in the U.S., challenging established retailers.
