Missing hiker rescued after days in Strathcona Park's rugged terrain

Search teams located 25-year-old Keshav Jindal, missing since Monday in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island, and confirmed he is alive, though his condition remains unclear.

Comox Valley Search and Rescue announced that Keshav Jindal was found in the steep sections of Strathcona Park after being missing for several days. Search and rescue commander Paul Berry said crews are now working to extract him from the difficult terrain. Jindal, an inexperienced hiker, had become separated from his companion while on the trail to Mount Albert Edward. Seven SAR teams continued the operation, aided by favorable weather this week.
