Nagpur suspect in teen rape case demands luxury food and bedding while in police lock-up

A 20-year-old student arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 16-year-old in Nagpur is repeatedly requesting premium meals and comfortable bedding while refusing police questioning.

Police in Nagpur have detained a 20-year-old BBA student accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. While held at Hudkeshwar police station, the suspect has complained about the facility’s walls and toilet, demanding pizza for breakfast, premium dinner, a thick cushion, and insect repellent. He refused a mandatory medical examination, declined to provide his mobile phone password, and has taken control of the victim’s phone during the alleged 24-hour captivity.

The accused also leveled accusations against police, claiming theft of cash and mistreatment, and is reportedly shifting blame onto the girl. Senior Inspector Anamika Mirzapure said officers are providing basic necessities but cannot meet his luxury demands, and they are closely monitoring him to prevent self-injury as he continues to stall the investigation.
