Nate Tice pushes back on Tom Brady's critique of today's quarterbacks

On The Domonique Foxworth Show, former Wisconsin quarterback Nate Tice, whose father is veteran NFL offensive coach Mike Tice, disputed Tom Brady's claim that modern quarterbacks are overly dependent on athleticism and lack mental acuity. Tice contended that defensive coordinators have outpaced offensive innovators, simplifying the reads QBs must make compared with Brady's playing days. He criticized remarks from older coaches such as Jon Gruden, saying they unfairly diminish the abilities of current players.

While acknowledging that defenses are presently dominant, Tice maintained that the talent level of quarterbacks has risen. He concluded that labeling today's QBs as incapable does them a disservice.
