Never-seen footage reveals Liam Payne's final hours at Buenos Aires hotel before balcony fall

Newly released images and video show Liam Payne at a Buenos Aires hotel moments before he fell from his balcony and died in October 2024.

Authorities in Argentina released about 3,000 photos and documents that document Liam Payne’s presence at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires shortly before his death on 16 October 2024. The evidence includes surveillance video of him walking the corridors, chatting with hotel employees, swinging on an exterior pole and spending time in the lobby with two women police say were prostitutes. He later fell from the third-floor balcony of his room, and a subsequent toxicology report revealed the presence of crack, cocaine, a depressant and “pink cocaine,” a blend of ketamine, MDMA and methamphetamine.

Charges against two suspects, Martin and Grassi, were dismissed, while Paiz and Pereyra remain awaiting trial. Payne’s body was interred on 20 November 2024 after a service at St. Mary’s Church in England, attended by former One Direction members Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.
